Woman fined by cops for flossing while driving

Wales, (UPI) — A police spokesman said a 36-year-old woman was caught flossing her teeth while driving 70 mph on a motorway in Wales.

The spokesman, whose identity was not released, said the woman was fined $91 after police officers spotted her allegedly flossing her teeth and looking in her vehicle’s rear view mirror, all while she was speeding along on the M4 motorway, The Sun said Saturday.

“We’ve caught women applying lipstick and makeup and men using an electric razor on their way to work,” the spokesman said of the recent incident.

“But this is the first time we’ve seen someone flossing their teeth. It’s particularly dangerous because you need to use both hands.”

The Sun said after being stopped near Newport, South Wales, the female driver also received a stern warning about careless driving from the officers.

Rat found on aircraft prompts deplaning!

OTTAWA, (UPI) — An Air Canada spokeswoman said an airplane was taken out of service and 205 passengers left the aircraft at the gate after a rat was found on board.

The deplaning of passengers from what would have been Air Canada Flight AC888 — an airline spokesman said there was no evacuation — came after the rodent was spotted in one of the aircraft’s overhead lockers, The Daily Telegraph said Saturday.

The aircraft, scheduled for a flight from Ottawa to London, was taken out of service after a pest control team was unable to locate the elusive rodent.

London resident Richard Jones, whose girlfriend had been expected to arrive in London Friday, said passengers learned of the furry stowaway from the captain.

“He said: ‘We’ve got bad news. A giant rat has been seen in the overhead lockers and I need everyone to get off while we try and find it,’” Jones told the Telegraph.

“I’ve heard some excuses for delays before, but never because a rat has hidden away on a flight. It’s incredible,” he added.

An airline spokesman said passengers were accommodated on the next flight.

Police say cook put body hair in cop’s sandwich

EVESHAM, N.J. – Police said a cook put a body hair in the bagel sandwich of a police officer who had given him tickets in the past. The cook was arrested Feb. 21 in the kitchen of Good Foods to Go in Evesham. The police officer ticketed the cook in March 2009 when he failed to pull over for a traffic violation.

The cook spent four hours in jail before his wife bailed him out, and was fired from his job.

The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill reports police asked them not to report the incident for fear of copycat crimes. The paper published the story anyway.

Look before you pee out in the open the next time! I know you may feel the sudden need to relieve yourself, but I am sure you do not want to die by being electrocuted. By you own urine stream, nonetheless!

MSNBC has an article on how a 50 year old man who managed to escaped unhurt from a car accident died later when he relieved himself by the road. Sad story but that serves as a cautionary tale to all who needs to answer nature’s call in, nature.

If there is any psychiatrist with the most loyal patients it is Douglas Rank from Kentucky. Even though he is behind bars in Kenton County Jail for stabbing a woman with a sword his patients are trying to keep their appointments with him. Some patients have gone as far as to ask if they could drop off Rank’s prescription pad in jail so he could write their prescriptions.

With all the psychiatrists in Kentucky, what idiot thought of that?

Driver In Doghouse After Walking Pet While In Car

LONDON, United Kingdom (AP) –

An English dog-owner has been fined after taking his pet for a stroll while driving next to him in his car. Prosecutors said Paul Railton was spotted driving at low speed along a country lane in December, holding his dog’s leash through the car window as the animal trotted alongside.

Railton pleaded guilty Monday to not being in proper control of a vehicle. His lawyer, Paul Donoghue, said 23-year-old Railton acknowledged “it was a silly thing to do and there was an element of laziness” while exercising his lurcher, a type of crossbred sighthound.

Railton was ordered by magistrates in Consett, northeast England, to pay a 66 pound ($100) fine, plus costs.

He also received three more penalty points on his license and is now barred from driving for six months.

The two amateurs are facing charges after their cell phone accidentally dialed 911 during the heist in the parking lot of a Daytona Beach night club.
